A new version of this tiny industrial pattern, with variations in BR Green, BR Blue, and industrial liver, is expected to be released in early 2025. To make sure everything is working properly with the mechanical, electrical, and their lovely adornment, the final samples are currently being used at their pace; you can view the most recent pattern images here.

These little, four-wheeled shindies were made to go where larger locomotives couldn’t. They were prepared to handle fast-curved strains on roads, thieves, warehouses, and factories with just a 6-foot wheel base, and they might even employ regular waggon flip tables. Liverpool, Manchester, and the illustrious Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway’s ‘Pug’ 0-4-0sts, which worked as postal services, were direct destinations for them.

Fifty similar were built for the industrial railway, with electrical energy often replacing hydraulic gearbox. Most of the 20 strong classes found more employment in the craft after being built to finish in the 1960s; a few even made it into the 1980s before being rescued for cover. In addition to their well regarded Rolls Rice Engine, all-around Benefit, and unique (for BR Locomoto) rear platform, the personnel continue to play an important role in the engineering and shunting operations on the Heritage Railway. The Nationwide Railway Museum even went so far as to identify engine D2860 as the ideal for its picturesque York route.
