Why do my layout pics look blah?

Getting stuck trying to take pics of your layout and it just looks flat or kinda “meh”. I see these crazy shots online. They editing or just wizards with cameras.

Do you guys use phone cams or proper cameras?
Quick hacks for making stuff look less obviously model and more “real”?
