I was running trains, all fine, then boom — loco just dies. no lights, no sound, nothing. track power seemed fine but still no go.

First thought was “ok, maybe dirty wheels” but nope. ended up being a loose wire under the layout that must’ve been hanging on by a thread. 5 mins to fix but took me 40 to find.

What do you guys check first when this kinda thing happens?
Wver had a fault that drove you mad and turned out to be something tiny?
Any tips for checking wiring without pulling half the layout apart?
