It’s like building a layout that’s part memory, part imagination, and totally personal. Each scene would be a window into someone’s world, and stitched together, it’d be a powerful expression of who we are as a community.

Mine would probably be a slice of the old freight yard near my childhood home—rusty sidings, weeds between the rails, and a weathered water tower that always fascinated me.

This could be such a meaningful way to connect across locations, scales, and modeling styles. Count me in! Maybe we can create a shared map or storyline to help tie the modules together? Would be amazing to see the patchwork of lives and layouts come to life.

each member creates a small scene based on something meaningful from their life or local area. Maybe it’s your hometown station, a favorite railfanning spot, or even a fictional town you’ve always dreamed up.

Then we bring it all together—virtually or at an event—as one big collaborative layout that tells a shared story.

Scenes can be any scale, style, or setting. The goal? Creativity and connection.
