The Little Things That Make It Feel Real

You ever notice how it’s never just the trains that pull you in? It’s the weeds growing by the tracks, the patchy grass, the way the dirt looks like it’s actually been there for years.

I was fiddling with a hillside the other night, thought I had it nailed… then I realized it looked way too perfect. Nature’s never that tidy. So I roughed it up, threw in a couple of “mistakes,” and suddenly it looked alive.

    What tricks do you use?
Do you swear by ground foam, or are you the type to raid the garden for twigs and dried moss?
Ever tried a weird material that ended up looking surprisingly good?
