what if we each built a small, portable module—same track height and connectors—but themed however we like? Then, when events or meetups happen, we bring them together into one massive, community-built layout.

You could do a rural farm, an urban scene, a mountain pass, or a gritty industrial yard. As long as the ends line up, anything goes in the middle!

    We could:

    Share progress updates here

    Post measurements for compatibility

Even coordinate themes or regional inspirations

That’s a brilliant idea—and honestly, it sounds like a ton of fun too. I love the thought of everyone bringing their own creativity to the table, but still connecting into one unified layout. It makes the whole thing feel like a true community effort.

I’d be totally in for building a small industrial scene—maybe an old freight depot with weathered boxcars and overgrown sidings. Once we agree on the track height and connector points, it should be pretty easy to build to spec.

Let’s definitely start sharing dimensions and maybe even mockups or sketches. Would be cool to see what everyone’s dreaming up!
