Each type of loco has something to like steam with character diesel with power electric with speed. Some models get the details right some just run smooth. I have seen some older steam models that still run like new and some brand new diesels that needed work out of the box. It’s always interesting to see which makers get it right and which need a bit of tuning what kind of loco do you like to run.
