Ever have that one section of track that just refuses to cooperate?

For me, it was a short siding that seemed to zap all the power from passing locos—despite looking perfect. Clean rails, tight joiners, smooth curves… yet engines would stall there without fail.

Turns out, the culprit was an almost invisible gap between two feeders—and a slightly loose rail joiner that lost contact only under certain weights. Took me forever (and a continuity tester) to finally spot it!

Have you had a track or power issue that defied logic until you cracked the code?
How do you troubleshoot your layout when gremlins strike?
